Can you run Google Ads without a website?

Yes. With VibeAds you can run Google Ads without a website, because your ads point at landing pages VibeAds builds and hosts for you. The website field is optional. Every ad group gets its own page, built when you publish, on every plan, even Free. On Pro and Max you can also claim your own domain, registered in your name, with the first year on us.

Plenty of trades run on referrals, a truck and a phone number, and never needed a website. That shouldn't keep you off Google. This guide covers why a landing page is enough for ads, what you get on each plan and how the free domain works. For what's on the pages themselves, the questions and the call buttons, see our landing pages guide.

Why do so many trades skip Google Ads?

Many trades skip Google Ads because they don't have a website, and the usual advice is to get one first. That means paying a web designer before you've had a single click, or putting off ads for good.

A website and a landing page aren't the same thing, and Google Ads only needs the second. Your ad needs somewhere to send the person who clicked, and that place has one job.

What is the difference between a website and a landing page?

A website covers your whole business: every service, your story, your contact page. A landing page has one job: a call or a request. For an ad, that's all you need, because the person who clicked asked about one thing.

What do you get without a website?

Without a website you still get a landing page for every ad group, built and hosted for you, at an address based on your business name on localad.app. Each page has one job, a call or a request, and if you add your phone number, tapping Call rings your phone.

  • No website needed. Leave the website field empty. Your ads point at the pages VibeAds builds.
  • A page for every ad group. A water heater ad group gets a water heater page, a drain ad group gets a drain page.
  • Built when you publish. There's nothing to design, install or keep running.
  • An address based on your business name, like yourbusiness.localad.app/water-heater.
  • A Call button that rings your phone. It shows when you add your phone number to your business details.

Your business name, phone and address come from your business profile in Settings. Facts like your license or insurance come from the Trust Signals card, and only what you fill in appears.

What does each plan include?

Landing pages are on every plan, even Free. What changes by plan is how many campaigns you can run, which kind of page you get and whether you can use your own domain.

On Free, your one campaign starts with 3 ad groups, and each gets its own page. Full plan details are on the pricing page.

How does the free domain work on Pro and Max?

On Pro and Max you can claim one domain per account, on .com, .net, .org or .us (.us is for US businesses only). It's registered in your name, and VibeAds covers the first year. Point it at a campaign, and that campaign's pages and ads move over once the domain is ready.

The free domain, plainly:

  • It's yours. It's registered in your name, not ours.
  • Confirm your details. After you claim it, you'll get an email asking you to confirm your contact details, which ICANN rules require. If nobody confirms within 15 days, the registrar has to suspend the domain.
  • It takes a few hours. Registering usually takes a few hours, and your pages and ads move only once the domain answers over HTTPS. It isn't instant.
  • Pick a campaign now or later. Point it at a campaign when you claim it, or choose "Decide later" and attach it from the Domains page.
  • After the first year, renew it at cost or let it expire. Nothing is charged automatically.

The custom domains docs cover the details.

No, and it isn't meant to. VibeAds landing pages are marked so search engines don't list them, and only your ads show on Google. The page is where the ad sends people, not something people find by searching.

If you want to show up in regular search results too, that's a different job from ads, and our guide on Google Ads or SEO for a local business covers it.

How do you get started without a website?

You get started the same way as anyone else, minus the website: connect Google Ads, build a campaign, and leave the website field empty.

  1. Sign up and connect your Google Ads account. Publishing needs a connected account. New to ads? See our beginner's guide.
  2. Fill in your business details, including your phone number, so the Call button shows on your pages.
  3. Build your campaign and leave the website field empty.
  4. Publish. A page is built for every ad group, at your business name on localad.app.
  5. On Pro or Max, claim your domain from the Domains page if you want your own address.

Leads from your pages land in your Leads list on Pro and Max: see the Lead CRM guide.

FAQ: Google Ads without a website

Do you need a website to run Google Ads?

No. VibeAds builds and hosts a landing page for every ad group, and the website field is optional.

Are landing pages included on the Free plan?

Yes. Every ad group gets its own page on every plan, even Free.

What address do the pages use?

An address based on your business name on localad.app. On Pro and Max you can move them to your own domain.

Is the domain really free?

On Pro and Max, VibeAds covers the first year of one domain per account. It's registered in your name, and after the first year you renew it at cost or let it expire. Nothing is charged automatically.

Can you use your own website later?

Yes. If you get a website, you can point a campaign at it with "Use My Website" at the strategy review step.

Bottom line

Not having a website is a reason to skip a web designer, not a reason to skip Google Ads. A landing page has one job, a call or a request, and VibeAds builds one for every ad group when you publish, hosted for you, on every plan, even Free. Add your number and tapping Call rings your phone. When you want your own address, Pro ($20 a month) and Max ($149 a month) include a domain in your name, first year on us.
