Best AI tool for waterproofing contractors, in one paragraph
VibeAds is the best fit for an owner-run basement waterproofing contractor: it builds separate basement, crawl space and drainage campaigns, blocks Flex Seal, Drylok, sump pump and DIY French drain shoppers, tracks and scores inspection calls, and syncs leads to Jobber, from $20/month; on Max ($149/month) it can send paid Jobber invoices back to Google, which helps when one job is worth thousands. Local Services Ads do not list waterproofing by name, but they do list foundations services and water damage services, so check whether your work fits. Larger companies with in-home sales teams often use an agency or Performance Max with offline sales data.

A six-city sample
Google returned enough priced keywords for waterproofing in only 6 of the 50 cities we pulled: Baltimore, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Louisville, Chicago, New York. That is a small sample, concentrated in the East and Midwest, so use it for direction, not as a national benchmark.
| Keyword | Cities priced | Median low bid | Median high bid | Intent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| basement waterproofing near me | 5 | $17.74 | $55.00 | Hiring, nearby |
| basement waterproofing | 6 | $13.78 | $49.67 | Hiring or researching |
| waterproofing company | 4 | $14.73 | $49.35 | Choosing a company |
| foundation waterproofing | 3 | $13.03 | $60.00 | Exterior work |
| crawl space encapsulation cost | 4 | $5.08 | $21.98 | Pricing a big job |
| waterproofing basement cost | 3 | $5.82 | $28.29 | Pricing |
| french drain system | 6 | $1.09 | $11.36 | Mixed; much is DIY |
| finishing basements | 3 | $3.67 | $12.86 | Remodel, not waterproofing |
Bid figures are Google Keyword Planner top-of-page bid estimates pulled for 50 US cities in September 2026. They are what advertisers bid to reach the top of the page, not what a click costs you; your real cost per click is usually lower and moves with Quality Score.
Basement terms carried 71% of head-term volume. "Basement waterproofing" was the core term at $13.78 to $49.67; "french drain system" bid much lower ($11.36 high) because many searchers plan to dig it themselves. Cost searches like "crawl space encapsulation cost" ($21.98) are early-stage buyers: worth a page that explains price ranges honestly and offers an inspection.
"Basement waterproofing" by city
| City | Low bid | High bid | Monthly searches |
|---|---|---|---|
| Baltimore | $19.23 | $81.11 | 170 |
| Atlanta | $15.28 | $60.00 | 140 |
| Philadelphia | $17.35 | $50.00 | 320 |
| Louisville | $12.28 | $49.35 | 170 |
| Chicago | $4.43 | $19.55 | 720 |
| New York | $3.87 | $19.52 | 880 |
New York and Chicago had the most searches and the lowest bids; Baltimore and Atlanta the highest. We do not have live city pages for waterproofing yet.
Searches to block
| Group | From VibeAds' waterproofing list |
|---|---|
| DIY products | flex seal, drylok, waterproofing spray, waterproof sealant buy, silicone sealant, caulk buy |
| DIY projects | french drain diy, sump pump buy |
| Wrong "waterproof" | waterproof boots, waterproof jacket, waterproof phone case, waterproof bag |
| Jobs | waterproofing jobs, waterproofing salary |
If you sell and install sump pumps, remove "sump pump buy" and add a sump pump ad group instead.
The inspection is the conversion
Waterproofing buyers usually have water in the basement now, and are often nervous about cost and wary of a hard sell. A page that shows real before-and-after photos, explains the inspection, gives a warranty summary and lets them book a time will do better than a generic quote form. Track booked inspections, and on Max, the paid invoices from Jobber. VibeAds generates the page per ad group (landing pages video) and scores calls (call tracking video).
Spring is the peak
Our budget planner's waterproofing curve is highest in March and April (30 to 40% above average), with a smaller rise in October and November. Heavy rain weeks will beat any curve.
Where VibeAds falls short here
- Our keyword and bid data for waterproofing is a six-city sample.
- No connection to in-home sales or financing software; Jobber is the only integration.
- No Local Services Ads or Meta management.
- Twice-daily reviews; on Max, only small bid changes and wasted-search blocks run without asking, after a campaign's first week.
Should waterproofing companies bid on French drain searches?
Carefully. In our sample "french drain system" had a high bid of $11.36, much lower than core waterproofing terms, because many searchers are DIYers. Use phrase match, add "diy" and "how to" as negatives, and send clicks to a page about professionally installed interior drainage.
Is Google Ads worth it for basement waterproofing?
Usually, because the searches are urgent and the jobs are large. The key is tracking past the first call: an inspection that becomes a sold job is worth far more than one that does not, and bidding works better when Google can see the difference.
