Which AI tool is best for a house cleaning business?
An owner-run residential cleaning company is a strong fit for VibeAds: separate campaigns for recurring cleaning, deep cleans and move-out cleans, a negative list for cleaning products, hacks, job seekers, car washes and dry cleaners, call and form tracking with AI lead scoring, and Jobber lead sync, from $20/month. Local Services Ads list house cleaning services, plus carpet and window cleaning, so pay-per-lead is available. Maid franchises typically run through the franchisor's program.

"Cleaning" means at least four businesses
Our cleaning keyword pull mixed house cleaning (34% of head-term volume) with carpet and steam cleaning (34%), pressure washing (19%) and dryer vent cleaning (12%). They price differently:
| Keyword | Cities priced | Median low bid | Median high bid | Which business |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| cleaning services near me | 22 | $6.38 | $19.00 | House cleaning, nearby |
| house cleaning service | 35 | $5.09 | $15.73 | House cleaning |
| cleaning service | 27 | $4.91 | $16.99 | House cleaning, general |
| maids | 28 | $3.79 | $11.59 | House cleaning |
| cleaning | 48 | $3.28 | $11.43 | Too broad to tell |
| carpet cleaning | 50 | $2.65 | $11.28 | Carpet cleaning |
| steam cleaning | 41 | $0.33 | $5.50 | Mostly machine rental or DIY |
| dryer vent cleaning | 49 | $7.13 | $26.63 | Vent cleaning, safety |
| pressure washing | 50 | $0.22 | $4.16 | Exterior, mostly DIY |
Bid figures are Google Keyword Planner top-of-page bid estimates pulled for 50 US cities in September 2026. They are what advertisers bid to reach the top of the page, not what a click costs you; your real cost per click is usually lower and moves with Quality Score.
"Cleaning services near me" bid $6.38 to $19.00 and "house cleaning service" $5.09 to $15.73. "Dryer vent cleaning" was higher ($26.63 high), a sign that advertisers find those jobs worth paying for. Bare "pressure washing" and "steam cleaning" were cheap because most of those searchers want a machine. If you only clean homes, block carpet, steam, pressure and vent terms; if you offer them, give each its own campaign.
| City | Median low bid | Median high bid | Priced keywords | |

Recurring clients are the business
A one-time clean is rarely profitable on ad spend alone; the client who books every two weeks is. Ads and pages should lead with recurring service, list what a standard clean includes, show a price range or "from" price by home size, explain how you vet and insure cleaners, and offer an instant quote or a short form (bedrooms, bathrooms, frequency). Move-out and deep-clean pages can be separate. VibeAds builds a page per ad group (landing pages video); on Max, paid Jobber invoices show Google which campaigns bring repeat clients (Jobber video).
Season
The curve our planner uses for cleaning has two peaks: March and April for spring cleaning, and December for the holidays, each about 30% above average.
What VibeAds does not do for cleaners
- No connection to cleaning-specific software such as ZenMaid or Launch27; Jobber is the only field-service integration.
- No instant-pricing calculator or online booking.
- No Local Services Ads, Meta or Nextdoor management.
- Not built for commercial janitorial contracts.
- Twice-daily reviews; on Max, only small bid changes and blocks of wasted searches happen without approval, after the first 7 days.
Should a house cleaner bid on "maid service"?
Yes, if you offer recurring residential cleaning; "maids" was priced in 28 cities at a $11.59 high bid, close to other house cleaning terms. Exclude "maid salary" and "maid jobs" so you are not paying for job seekers.
Is Google Ads or Local Services better for cleaning companies?
Use both if you can. Local Services Ads charge per lead and show a verified listing above other results; Search lets you choose terms like "move out cleaning" and send each to its own page. Start where you can answer fastest.
