Updated October 9, 2026 · From the founder of VibeAds. VibeAds is one of the options; this page is specific about where it fits a flooring business and where it does not.
Installer or showroom? That decides the tool
Flooring businesses split into two kinds, and Google search behavior follows. Installers and refinishers sell labor and get hired from searches like "carpet installation" and "flooring contractors near me". Showrooms sell product and compete for "flooring stores near me". For an installer, VibeAds fits best: it builds install, refinishing and material campaigns, blocks product buyers and calculator searches, tracks and scores quote calls, and syncs leads to Jobber, from $20/month. Local Services Ads list flooring services. A showroom with a product catalog should look at Performance Max with a product feed, which VibeAds does not manage.

Bid figures are Google Keyword Planner top-of-page bid estimates pulled for 50 US cities in September 2026. They are what advertisers bid to reach the top of the page, not what a click costs you; your real cost per click is usually lower and moves with Quality Score.
"Carpet installation" bid $9.48 to $49.39, well above "tile stores near me" ($5.08 high) or "waterproof laminate flooring" ($4.07). The install searches are fewer but they are hiring. Refinishing is a good separate campaign: "hardwood floor refinishing" was priced in 39 cities at a $18.40 high bid and has no product competition.
| City | Median low bid | Median high bid | Priced keywords | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Highest | Tampa | $6.38 | $33.03 | 124 |
| Highest | Mesa | $8.07 | $30.26 | 76 |

Negatives for flooring installers
| Group | From VibeAds' flooring list |
|---|---|
| Buying product | buy carpet, buy vinyl, buy laminate, buy hardwood, buy tile, flooring supply, flooring store |
| Samples and remnants | flooring samples, carpet samples, carpet remnants |
| Rugs and cleaning | area rugs, rug buy, floor cleaner buy, carpet shampooer, steam cleaner buy |
| Calculators and jobs | flooring calculator, carpet calculator, flooring installer jobs, installer salary |
Showrooms should remove the "flooring store" and "buy" groups; installers should keep them.
The quote page
Flooring buyers want a price per square foot and a date. Give each material its own page (carpet, hardwood, LVP, tile), say whether you supply material or install customer-bought product, explain how you measure, and ask for room count and approximate square footage in the form. Show a few local jobs. VibeAds builds one page per ad group (landing pages video) and scores each call (call tracking video).
Season
The curve our planner uses for flooring is mild: within about 20% of an average month, highest in April, lowest in December.
Limits for flooring businesses
- No product feeds, Shopping or Performance Max management for showrooms.
- No measuring or estimating software connection; Jobber is the only field-service integration.
- No Local Services Ads or Meta.
- Twice-daily reviews. On Max, only small bid changes and blocks of wasted search terms are hands-free, after the first 7 days.
Should a flooring installer bid on "flooring stores near me"?
Usually not. Those searchers want to walk a showroom and buy product, and in our data "flooring stores near me" bid $3.47 to $20.09, close to install terms, so you would pay hiring-level prices for shoppers. If you install customer-supplied flooring, a small test with a clear "we install the floor you bought" message is reasonable.
Is LVP installation worth its own campaign?
If you do a lot of it, yes. Material-specific ad groups let the ad and page match the search, and they show you which materials bring profitable jobs. Start with the materials you install most and add others once each has enough clicks to judge.
