Best AI tool for pool service companies
For an owner-run pool cleaning or repair route, VibeAds fits best: weekly service, repair, and opening and closing campaigns, negatives for chemical and supply shoppers, billiards and pool parties, call tracking with AI scoring, and Jobber lead sync, from $20/month. Local Services Ads list both pool cleaner and pool contractor. Pool builders with large projects and strong photography are better served by Performance Max or an agency.

Service searches versus build searches
Service, cleaning and repair searches were 62% of head-term volume in our 46-city pull, and building or installation 17%.
| Keyword | Cities priced | Median low bid | Median high bid | Intent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| pool service near me | 37 | $4.07 | $21.73 | Weekly service, nearby |
| pool servicing | 22 | $5.31 | $23.61 | Weekly service |
| pool cleaning service | 40 | $3.88 | $16.37 | Weekly service |
| pool cleaning | 40 | $1.49 | $9.88 | Mixed: service or DIY |
| pool repair near me | 5 | $7.50 | $46.00 | Something broke |
| pool pump repair | 12 | $3.15 | $11.29 | Equipment repair |
| swimming pool contractors | 8 | $3.76 | $27.79 | New pool or remodel |
| above ground pool installation | 19 | $0.60 | $4.45 | Usually a store-bought pool |
| solar heating for pool | 21 | $0.27 | $1.09 | Product research |
Bid figures are Google Keyword Planner top-of-page bid estimates pulled for 50 US cities in September 2026. They are what advertisers bid to reach the top of the page, not what a click costs you; your real cost per click is usually lower and moves with Quality Score.
"Pool service near me" bid $4.07 to $21.73, while bare "pool cleaning" ran lower ($9.88 high) because many searchers clean their own pool. Repair was priced in fewer cities but higher: "pool repair near me" at $46.00 where Google priced it. "Above ground pool installation" ($4.45) and "solar heating for pool" ($1.09) are mostly product shoppers.
| City | Low bid | High bid | Monthly searches |
|---|---|---|---|
| Arlington | $15.92 | $96.98 | 140 |
| Mesa | $14.95 | $57.20 | 140 |
| Austin | $18.00 | $53.73 | 880 |
| San Francisco | $2.59 | $4.59 | 40 |
| Milwaukee | $1.30 | $4.30 | 20 |
| El Paso | $1.05 | $3.64 | 70 |
"Pool service near me", highest and lowest cities. Warm-weather Texas and Arizona markets topped the list. City pages: Columbus, El Paso, Fort Worth, Houston, Jacksonville, Los Angeles.
Negatives for pool companies
| Group | From VibeAds' pool list |
|---|---|
| Chemicals and supplies | pool chemicals buy, chlorine buy, pool supplies store, pool test kit, pool pump buy, pool filter buy |
| Toys and small pools | above ground, inflatable pool, kiddie pool, intex pool, pool noodle, pool float |
| Wrong "pool" | billiards, pool table, pool game, pool party |
| Careers | pool boy salary, pool technician jobs, cpo certification |
If you install or service above-ground pools, remove "above ground" from the list.
Route economics
A weekly pool client is worth a season or a year of visits, so the ad is selling a subscription. Pages should list what a weekly visit includes, chemicals included or not, your service area by neighborhood, and a starting monthly price if you post one. Repair pages need brands you service and how fast you can come out. VibeAds builds one page per ad group (landing pages video), and on Max can send paid Jobber invoices back to Google so bidding favors campaigns that bring route clients (Jobber video).
Season
Our planner's pool curve swings hard: about 50% above average in May and June and down to about 40% of average in December. Your own market may swing more or less; where pools close for winter, opening and closing campaigns in spring and fall carry much of the year.
Where VibeAds falls short for pool companies
- No connection to pool route software such as Skimmer or Pool Brain; Jobber is the only field-service integration.
- No chemical-tracking, route-planning or service-report tools.
- No Local Services Ads or Meta management.
- Not designed for pool builders' long sales cycles.
- Twice-daily reviews; on Max, only small bid changes and wasted-search blocks run without asking, after a campaign's first 7 days.
Should pool service companies bid on "pool cleaning"?
Carefully. The bare term is mixed with do-it-yourselfers, and in our data its high bid was $9.88, below "pool service near me". Phrase-match versions with "service", "company" or "near me", plus the chemical and supply negatives, keep most of the DIY traffic out.
When should a pool company start ads each year?
A few weeks before your local opening season, so campaigns have data before demand peaks. In our planner's curve demand rises sharply from March to May; in year-round markets you can run all year with a smaller winter budget.
