Which AI tool should run Google Ads for a junk removal company?
For a junk removal company with one to a few trucks, the best AI tool is one that knows which searches near yours are not looking for you. "Trash pickup" turned up in the keyword lists of 36 of the 48 cities in our data, right beside "junk removal", and most of those people want their city's garbage schedule. VibeAds is built for that problem: it launches junk removal Search campaigns with those negatives already in place, tracks and scores the calls, and sends new leads to Jobber, from $20/month. Local Services Ads are worth running next to it, since junk removal is an eligible category. Google's AI Max is free and useful once your calls are tracked. Ryze AI fits haulers who also spend on Meta or TikTok. A large franchise may still want an agency.
- Owner-operator, calls come to your cell: VibeAds Pro, $20/month.
- You want to pay per lead instead of per click: Local Services Ads, run beside Search.
- Calls already tracked, conversions steady: test AI Max on the cleanout campaign.
- Ads on several platforms: Ryze AI ($89/month for Paid Ads, per its pricing page).
- Five-plus trucks across markets: an agency with home-services experience.

What do junk removal clicks cost, city by city?
Junk removal is one of the cheaper home-service trades to bid on. Across the 48 cities in our data with enough priced keywords, the middle city's top-of-page bid range was $3.12 to $12.09. The highest high-end medians were in Boston, Denver and Washington, DC, all around $18; the lowest were Wichita and Tulsa, under $7.
| City | Median low bid | Median high bid | Priced keywords | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Highest | Boston | $3.15 | $18.39 | 188 |
| Highest | Denver | $4.13 | $18.04 | 263 |
| Highest | Washington, DC | $5.33 | $18.00 | 207 |
| Middle of 48 cities | $3.12 | $12.09 | ||
| Lowest | Wichita | $1.81 | $6.47 | 68 |
| Lowest | Tulsa | $2.63 | $6.78 | 76 |
| Lowest | Louisville | $2.82 | $8.45 | 168 |
Bid figures are Google Keyword Planner top-of-page bid estimates pulled for 50 US cities in September 2026. They are what advertisers bid to reach the top of the page, not what a click costs you; your real cost per click is usually lower and moves with Quality Score.
The keywords tell you more than the city averages:
| Keyword | Cities priced | Median low bid | Median high bid | What the searcher wants |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| junk removal | 48 | $4.81 | $22.61 | Hire a hauler |
| junk removal near me | 48 | $5.09 | $22.31 | Hire a hauler, nearby |
| junk removal service | 44 | $4.68 | $20.95 | Hire a hauler |
| moving clean out | 31 | $7.91 | $21.73 | Clear a home before or after a move |
| furniture removal | 7 | $4.96 | $14.30 | One bulky item |
| trash pickup | 36 | $2.99 | $13.01 | Usually the city schedule |
| trash pickup near me | 31 | $2.02 | $9.81 | Usually the city schedule |
| bulk trash pickup | 15 | $2.63 | $12.44 | Mixed: city bulk day or a hauler |
Two patterns matter. "Moving clean out" carries a high-end bid close to the core "junk removal" terms in 31 cities, which makes sense: a whole-house cleanout is a bigger job than a couch. And the "trash pickup" family is cheap for a reason. Those searchers mostly want to know which day the city truck comes, so a broad-match campaign that lets them in will spend a lot of small amounts on nobody.
Which searches should a junk removal campaign block?
Block the municipal and do-it-yourself side of the trade before launch: dumpster rentals, landfills and transfer stations, the city's garbage schedule, and people shopping for bags and bins. These terms sit right next to "junk removal" in Google's matching and almost never book a crew.
| Block | Examples from the list VibeAds starts junk removal campaigns with |
|---|---|
| Dumpster and roll-off | dumpster rental, roll off dumpster, dumpster buy |
| Public disposal | landfill, dump near me, recycling center, transfer station |
| City trash service | trash pickup schedule, garbage collection, waste management |
| Shopping | trash can buy, trash bags buy |
| Jobs and TV | junk removal jobs, hauling salary, hoarders show |
One deliberate gap: VibeAds leaves "donation" and "charity" off the junk removal negatives. Someone looking for a donation pickup may still pay to have the rest hauled, so it is worth watching those terms in your search terms report rather than blocking them outright. The free negative keyword tool builds a list for the services you offer.
Should a hauler use Local Services Ads?
Yes, most junk removal companies should at least test Local Services Ads, because junk removal is on Google's list of eligible categories and the leads arrive as calls and messages you pay for individually. LSA is weaker at separating a full cleanout from a single mattress, since you cannot choose keywords. Search ads let you put "moving clean out" and "estate cleanout" in their own ad group with their own page and bid. Run both, and let Search carry the bigger jobs.
What should the landing page do for junk removal?
A junk removal landing page should make it easy to get a price without a site visit, because that is the question every caller has. Three things help: a large tap-to-call button and a text option, a short explanation of how you price (by truck load, by item, or by volume, whichever you actually use), and a "send a photo" route for people who would rather not talk. Show the areas you serve and same-day availability only if you really offer it. Keep cleanouts on their own page. Someone emptying a parent's house reads differently from someone with one recliner.
VibeAds builds one page per ad group from home-service templates; the landing pages video shows how. Pages built since September 26, 2026 run a single version per ad group, with no A/B test yet.
Where does demand peak?
Junk removal demand is steadier than most outdoor trades. The seasonal curve our budget planner uses for junk removal rises through spring to a May peak (about 30% above an average month) and dips in December. If you do move-out cleanouts, expect them to follow the local moving season. Plan for a modest spring increase rather than a big seasonal swing, and keep the cleanout campaign funded through the summer moving months.
Setting it up so the AI learns from real jobs
- Track calls and texts as conversions first. Most junk removal leads phone or text. VibeAds call tracking records with a consent notice, transcribes and scores each call from 0 to 100, and reports qualified calls to Google; see the call tracking video.
- Split single items from cleanouts. Two ad groups at minimum, each with its own page.
- Bid from your city. Start near the low end of your city's top-of-page range and raise bids only where calls come in.
- Load the negatives above, then check search terms weekly for the first month.
- Close the loop if you use Jobber. New leads land in Jobber as a client and a request on Pro; on Max, paid invoices go back to Google as revenue, so bidding learns which searches lead to paid hauls. The Jobber video shows the round trip. Jobber is our only field-service integration today.
- Automate in stages. On Max, hands-free mode applies only small bid changes and blocks search terms that spent for a week with no lead, and nothing runs on its own in a campaign's first 7 days. Budgets, pauses and new keywords always ask first.
Our junk removal budget guide covers how much to spend. City breakdowns: Denver, Atlanta, Charlotte, Miami, Seattle, San Antonio.
What VibeAds won't do for a junk removal company
- It runs Google Search ads only: no Local Services Ads, Meta, Nextdoor or SEO.
- The agent reviews campaigns twice a day on Pro and Max, not continuously.
- It doesn't price jobs or dispatch trucks; that stays in your own tools.
- Jobber is the only field-service software it connects to.
- Google bills your clicks separately from the plan price.
How much does it cost to run junk removal ads with an AI tool?
The software runs from free to $149/month: VibeAds is free for one campaign, $20/month on Pro and $149/month on Max, and Ryze AI's Paid Ads plan is $89/month per its pricing page. Google's AI Max costs nothing extra. On top of any of these you pay Google for clicks, or per lead with Local Services Ads.
Can an AI tool tell a cleanout call from a single-item call?
It can if the calls are recorded and scored. VibeAds transcribes each tracked call and scores it, so a whole-house cleanout and a one-chair pickup are no longer the same conversion. Without call tracking, every call looks identical to Google.
Does AI Max help junk removal ads?
AI Max can help once your tracking is reliable, because its broader matching finds cleanout phrasings your keywords missed. It also broadens into the trash-pickup searches you are trying to avoid, so keep negatives tight and watch the search terms report closely for the first few weeks. Our AI Max guide covers the settings.
