Updated October 9, 2026. I'm the founder of VibeAds, one of the options below. Our electrician data covers 14 large cities; that is noted where it matters.
Best AI tool for electricians: the answer
An owner-run residential electrician gets the most from VibeAds: separate service, emergency and project campaigns (panels, EV chargers, lighting), a negative list built for the trade, call tracking with AI lead scoring, and Jobber lead sync, from $20/month; Max ($149/month) adds paid-invoice revenue from Jobber so bidding learns which jobs paid. Electricians are on Google's Local Services list, so run LSA beside Search. Commercial contractors who win work through bids and relationships may get more from an agency, or from Ryze AI if LinkedIn is part of the plan.

Electrician bids in 14 cities
Google returned enough priced electrician keywords in 14 cities, all large metros. In those:
| Keyword | Cities priced | Median low bid | Median high bid | Intent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| electrician company near me | 14 | $17.55 | $70.43 | Hiring, nearby |
| residential electrician | 12 | $8.71 | $39.24 | Home work |
| commercial electrician | 12 | $15.12 | $47.14 | Business work |
| electrical servicing | 9 | $11.23 | $50.11 | Service call |
| ceiling fan repair | 11 | $4.53 | $13.00 | Small job |
| electronic repair shops near me | 8 | $1.61 | $8.75 | Wrong trade: device repair |
| whole house surge protector | 13 | $0.24 | $2.49 | Mostly buying a product |
Bid figures are Google Keyword Planner top-of-page bid estimates pulled for 50 US cities in September 2026. They are what advertisers bid to reach the top of the page, not what a click costs you; your real cost per click is usually lower and moves with Quality Score.
"Electrician company near me" was the volume leader, with a median of 1,300 monthly searches per city and bids of $17.55 to $70.43. "Electrician near me emergency" was priced in only 4 cities but at $29.16 to $77.08. Emergency calls are rare in the data and expensive when they appear, so give them their own small campaign with a schedule that matches when you actually answer. "Whole house surge protector" ($2.49 high bid) is mostly product shopping; sell installation on a panel-upgrade page instead.
| City | Low bid | High bid | Monthly searches |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jacksonville | $30.00 | $179.98 | 1,300 |
| Denver | $37.58 | $105.82 | 1,300 |
| Austin | $37.58 | $96.78 | 1,000 |
| Philadelphia | $12.30 | $39.59 | 1,600 |
| Los Angeles | $10.96 | $35.00 | 3,600 |
| New York | $4.38 | $13.71 | 4,400 |
"Electrician company near me", highest and lowest of the 14 cities. City pages: Charlotte, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington, DC.
Negatives for electricians
| Group | From VibeAds' electrician list |
|---|---|
| Parts and supplies | buy wire, electrical wire, outlet cover, light bulbs, extension cord, circuit breaker buy, romex, wire nuts |
| Tools | voltage tester, multimeter |
| Code and diagrams | national electrical code, nec code, electrical code requirements, wiring diagram, circuit diagram |
| Licensing and careers | electrician salary, electrician license, electrician exam, journeyman electrician |
| Solar | solar panel, solar installation |
If you install solar, remove the solar group and build a separate campaign; solar has its own buyers and economics.
License front and center
Electrical work needs a license in most states, and homeowners know it. Put your license number, insurance, and a real photo of your team at the top of each page, and say whether you pull permits. For service calls, show a diagnostic or trip fee if you charge one. VibeAds builds one page per ad group (landing pages video) and scores each call (call tracking video).
Season
The curve our planner uses for electricians is flat, with a modest rise in summer and the highest month in December (about 20% above average).
What VibeAds lacks for electricians
- No connection to ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro or other field-service software besides Jobber.
- No commercial bid-board or LinkedIn tools.
- No Local Services Ads or Meta management.
- Reviews twice a day; on Max, only small bid changes and wasted-search blocks are hands-free, after a campaign's first 7 days.
Should electricians bid on emergency searches?
Only if you answer at the hours you advertise. In our data emergency electrician terms were among the costliest in the trade, and an unanswered emergency call is a lost customer. A separate campaign with an ad schedule tied to your on-call hours keeps the cost visible.
Residential or commercial: which converts better on Google Ads?
They behave differently. "Commercial electrician" bid $15.12 to $47.14 in our data, above "residential electrician" ($8.71 to $39.24), but commercial buyers often want bids and relationships rather than a same-day call. Most small electricians do better starting with residential service and adding commercial once tracking shows it pays.
