Updated October 9, 2026 · By the founder of VibeAds. My own product is in this list, so the claims about it are kept to what it actually does.
The answer for tree companies
VibeAds is the best fit for an owner-operated tree crew that gets its work from Google: it builds separate removal, trimming and stump grinding campaigns, blocks equipment shoppers and tree-identification searches, tracks and scores calls, and syncs leads to Jobber, from $20/month (Max, at $149/month, can send paid Jobber invoices back to Google). Local Services Ads list tree services, so they belong alongside Search. Ryze AI suits companies that also run Meta, and larger operators with municipal or HOA contracts usually want a PPC agency.

Bid figures are Google Keyword Planner top-of-page bid estimates pulled for 50 US cities in September 2026. They are what advertisers bid to reach the top of the page, not what a click costs you; your real cost per click is usually lower and moves with Quality Score.
Removal and cutting terms made up 27% of head-term search volume and trimming 22%. "Stump grinding" had a median of 210 monthly searches per city but a high bid of $6.22, against $25.24 for "tree removal": many stump searchers plan to rent a grinder. Run stump grinding as its own small campaign, or sell it as an add-on on removal pages. "Service berry" shows up because Google matches the plant name; it belongs on your negative list.
No storm or emergency tree terms appeared among the top keywords for any city in this pull. That does not mean storm work does not happen; it means it shows up as ordinary "tree removal" searches, so be ready to raise budgets after a storm instead of building a separate emergency campaign in advance.
The city gap is wide
"Tree removal" in Phoenix had a high-end bid more than ten times Chicago's:
| City | Low bid | High bid |
|---|---|---|
| Phoenix | $13.59 | $107.05 |
| Los Angeles | $9.35 | $49.45 |
| Virginia Beach | $6.76 | $47.17 |
| Tucson | $2.89 | $10.62 |
| Philadelphia | $2.98 | $9.82 |
| Chicago | $2.90 | $9.30 |
Across all priced tree terms the middle city bid $3.46 to $12.36. City pages: Fort Worth, Nashville.
Negatives that matter for tree work
| Group | From VibeAds' tree service list |
|---|---|
| Equipment buyers | chainsaw buy, chainsaw chain, wood chipper buy, pole saw buy |
| Identification and DIY | tree identification, tree species, tree diseases, tree planting diy |
| Careers | arborist salary, arborist school, arborist certification, tree service jobs |
| Firewood | firewood for sale by owner, how big is a cord of wood |
Add plant names you see in your search terms report, like "service berry", and any species-care searches you do not serve.
Photos and the phone
Tree work is visual and risky, so the landing page should show your own crew and equipment, your insurance, and an ISA certification if you hold one. Ask for a photo of the tree in the form; it saves a site visit on small jobs. Calls still matter most: put the number at the top. VibeAds generates a page per ad group (landing pages video) and scores each call so a "do you buy firewood?" call does not count as a lead (call tracking video).
Season
Our budget planner's tree service curve is highest in April and May (about 30% above average) with a second bump in October, and lowest in December and January, when it drops to around half of an average month. Storm weeks will not follow any curve.
Where VibeAds is not enough
- No Local Services Ads, Meta or Nextdoor management.
- No connection to tree-specific CRMs; Jobber is the only field-service integration.
- No storm-trigger automation; the agent reviews campaigns twice a day, and budget changes beyond small bid moves ask for approval first.
- Not built for commercial bids or municipal contracts.
How much should a tree service spend on Google Ads?
Start from your city's removal bids and your average job. Where "tree removal" tops out under $15, a small daily budget can produce calls; where it runs above $50, you need either more budget or tighter targeting by neighborhood and job type. The tree service hub has benchmarks and a campaign preview.
Is LSA or Google Search better for tree removal?
Use both if you can. Local Services Ads charge per lead and show at the top for "tree removal near me" style searches; Search lets you choose keywords, pages and job types, and catch searches LSA does not show for. Many crews start with LSA and add Search for removal and trimming once tracking is in place.
